Stefanie Frankenstein, owner of Frankenstein's Nursery at Adopt-A-Plant Greenhouse will give two short talks and answer your questions about selecting, placing, and nurturing more native plants in your backyard.
Plants will be available for purchase through MOON Co-op.

Shademakers has received an exciting shipment of native plants grown specifically for southwestern Ohio yards. Wild Ones Miami Valley volunteers and experts from Miami University will join Shademakers staff for guided informational sessions through the display and help native plant enthusiasts find the best options to meet their landscaping goals.

Join Wild Ones Honorary Director Heather Holm as she explores the nesting habitats, life cycles, pollen collection, brood rearing, and general characteristics of some of the most common native bees in eastern North America, while highlighting the pollination of native plants and the mutualism between native plants and native bees.
When creating and managing thriving habitats for native bees, many factors such as seasonal phenology, nesting strategies, and flower preferences must be considered—and with approximately 3,600 species in North America (north of Mexico), there are many unique aspects to keep in mind when managing successful landscapes for bees.

Visit volunteers and friends of Wild Ones Miami Valley on Sunday afternoon, December 3rd, for an Open and Free Seed Exchange! Bring your echinacea, milkweed, wild grasses, goldenrod, and more and exchange them for a variety of native species suitable for planting in the Oxford and Miami Valley area!
The is a kid-friendly event, with a chance to meet and talk with knowledgeable local gardeners and landscape restorers! Get tips and support for your own yard project. All are welcome, even if you don't have seeds to exchange.
